Who do we serve, and why?
Founded in 2014, Pennsylvania Construction Estimating supports contractors and project teams with clear quantities, organized pricing and a final quality review. Our team of 35 estimators serves general contractors, builders, remodelers, subcontractors, developers, architects and property teams across Pennsylvania. Our purpose is to make construction scope and cost assumptions understandable.
What is our estimating methodology?
Control the issued documents, confirm scale, define measurement rules and organize trade responsibilities. Reconcile plans with specifications and schedules, separate net quantities from procurement adjustments, and keep rates tied to their evidence. Review major interfaces and issue assumptions, exclusions and a revision trail with the package.
Content uses answer-first summaries, primary-source links and visible revision dates. Drafts require a named estimator and reviewer before public launch. Guidance does not replace project-specific design or professional advice. Review official-source changes quarterly and whenever a project exposes an unclear scope question.
How does our estimating team work?
Our 35-estimator team follows a staged workflow, with distinct responsibilities for plan marking, pricing and final quality review.
- 01
Junior estimators mark the plans
Junior estimators mark the plans to identify and organize the scope for the takeoff. These annotations provide a clear starting point for the pricing stage.
- 02
Senior estimators handle pricing
Senior estimators price the marked scope and prepare the cost breakdown. Their work connects the plan information to the pricing in the estimate.
- 03
The head of estimation performs the final review
The head of estimation carries out the final quality review before the estimate is issued. This provides a final check of the marked scope, pricing and completed package.
What guides our work?
- Accuracy through traceable measurement and review
- Clarity about scope, sources and assumptions
- Delivery dates confirmed after document review
- Confidentiality under agreed project terms
